2008 Annual Report

After 25 years of strengthening democracy through market-oriented reform, this report celebrates CIPE’s partnership approach that has been the foundation for its success. Each regional section features an established CIPE partner and looks to the future of reform by profiling an emerging program set to influence change in the coming years. 2007 Annual Report

In 2007, the positive impact of CIPE’s programs on democratic development was felt across the globe, from countries on the threshold of democratic consolidation – like Argentina and Romania – to places still working to build a consensus for reform – like Afghanistan and Iraq. CIPE programs have defended freedoms, strengthened civil society, and broadened debate. 2006 Annual Report

Looking to the reconstruction of Afghanistan and Iraq, the events of the past year remind us that it takes years of hard work to nurture the institutions that sustain democracies and free markets. However, amid all these challenges, we are seeing that the business community remains committed to a path of growth, job creation, and peace and stability in most parts of the world.
