ALECA Private Sector Perception Index

Opening-up to the European market, as prescribed by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement inevitably raises the issue of how much deregulation can be handled by the Tunisian private sector when competing globally. In this regard, the IACE has formulated a perception index to determine which activity sectors can be deregulated and remain competitive and those that are threatened by such opening and the competition of the European market. Indeed, in Tunisia, since competitiveness gaps vary greatly among the three sectors, they must each be considered separately when addressing deregulation.
