CIPE works with partners in Papua New Guinea and other Pacific Island Countries to expand economic opportunities and strengthen democratic resilience. While different locations face a unique mix of challenges, many contend with similar issues, such as unequal access to resources and gender inequality. Current CIPE programs include mapping digital economy barriers, advancing women’s economic empowerment, and work to identify and mitigate damaging corrosive capital situations. Below are related resources. New efforts include pilot programs in Fiji, Bougainville, and Kiribati. This is in addition to broader initiatives spanning Melanesia, Polynesia, and Micronesia.
