Countries and communities are increasingly turning to the private sector as both a key constituency and a problem solver in addressing complex social and economic challenges, therefore establishing greater trust in business is essential. To inform and inspire, CIPE collaborated with the Tokyo-based firm SIPA Partners to chronicle the progress of six Japanese businesses operating in Southeast Asia: Fujifilm Group, Peel Lab, Mynavi Corporation, Zeroboard Incorporated, Sagri Company, and Shizen Energy Company.

Representing a variety of sectors, from health care and human resources to fashion and tech, all are developing products and policies aimed at addressing modern challenges and driving positive change through voluntary standards. Case studies presented in this report show us how.
