The Center for International Private Enterprise and the Sahel Business Coalition are organizing a regional conference to support economic recovery in the G5 Sahel. This work supports the conclusions of the June 2020 meeting of the G5 Council of Ministers and the full participation of the private sector in the development and promotion of security throughout the G5 Sahel. The conference will be held from September 13 – 16, 2021 in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
The objective of the conference is to identify priorities at the regional level with an eye towards presenting proposals at an upcoming meeting between the private sector and G5 Sahel officials as well as development partners.
The Sahel Economic Coalition for Inclusive Partnership has been in place since 2019 and is made up of associations, business leaders, and other key stakeholders from Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Niger.
