On December 1, CIPE and the Economic Policy Advocacy Coalition (EPAC), in partnership with the Solidarity Center, organized an informational webinar on Georgia’s new labor legislation reforms for EPAC members. For the first time, more than 100 business community representatives met the authors of the new legislation, Dimitri Tskitishvili and Zakaria Shvelidze, as well as the Head of the Labor Inspecting Department, Beka Peradze, to discuss priorities that employers and employees need to focus on after the new laws come into force in 2021. Some associations that attended the session include AmCham in Georgia, Georgian Employers Association, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the European Business Association.
