On November 4, 2015, CIPE hosted a panel discussion with experts focused on the potential for economic development as a tool to help bring opposing sides together during a conflict and to rebuild a country in post-conflict areas.
Speakers delivered their opinions, derived from experience, and answered questions regarding the potential for private enterprise to mitigate or end a conflict, grow within conflict-ridden environments, initiate long-term peace, and eventually advance sustainable economic growth. The discussion also focused on how organizations can design programming that takes into account the volatile, conflict-prone nature of their work environments.
