Women’s Business Resource Center (Corali)
CIPE and its partner the Red Nacional de Grupos Gestores (RNGG) manage a Women’s Business Resource Center (“WBRC” or “Corali”) in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, with funding provided by the United States Government. The center addresses economic gender disparities and supports women’s inclusion in their local economies. Corali is a centralized, safe, physical space where women from all backgrounds can access vital resources and gain a sense of confidence and self-reliance that will help them fulfill their economic aspirations.

Strengthening Economic Ecosystems and Democracy (SEED)
CIPE works with the Centro de Investigaciones Economicas Nacionales (CIEN) in Guatemala to strengthen the capacity and accountability of Guatemalan government officials to implement economic, social, and security reforms. Leveraging the opportunity of a reform-minded government, CIPE and CIEN address key challenges like stagnant growth, poverty, and corruption. By conducting policy analysis and advocacy, the initiative helps implement reforms to boost democracy, improve public services, and drive economic growth.

Central America Youth Entrepreneurship and Citizen Engagement Program (CONA)
This project promotes democratic culture and inclusive economic growth in Central America by fostering citizen engagement and supporting the creative economy. In its second phase, Colmena Naranja (CONA) builds on past successes to cultivate civic-minded entrepreneurs in Guatemala and El Salvador’s intermediary cities, focusing on creative industries. CIPE supports local partners enhance their organizational capacity for long-term sustainability. By empowering youth through civic participation and entrepreneurship, the initiative aims to drive positive change and economic growth in the region.

Strengthening Women’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystems Together (SWEET 2023)
CIPE works with women’s business associations and women-led civil society organizations in Central America to better serve their members and drive collective action for women’s economic empowerment. Building on previous efforts, CIPE supports three organizations in improving the environment for women’s participation in both the private sector and democratic processes. Using a holistic, three-pronged approach, the initiative provides capacity-building workshops, advocacy training, technical skills development, and opportunities for regional networking to empower women at individual, community, and institutional levels.

Central America Think Tank Program (CATT)
CIPE works with think tanks in Guatemala and El Salvador to strengthen collaboration and advocate for economic reform, free markets, and regional integration. By supporting a network of these organizations, CIPE and its partners tackle challenges like inconsistent policies, corruption, crime, and legislative opacity. Building on a regional roadmap, the initiative promotes democratic and economic development while exploring integration opportunities. CIPE and its partners also participate in international forums, raising global awareness and fostering dialogue on Central America’s democratic challenges.
