Businesswomen and Technology: The Path Towards Inclusive Digital Transformation In El Salvador

This research paper is a joint initiative between the Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social (FUSADES) and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). The research delves into the transformative landscape of digital technology in El Salvador, aiming to highlight the unique challenges and opportunities it presents, particularly concerning the empowerment of women in the digital domain. The study comprises a thorough review of the current legislative and policy frameworks, an analysis of survey data, and interviews with micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to understand the existing reality and provide comprehensive recommendations for a more inclusive digital transformation.
