Executive Summary: WE-Champs Dividers & Connectors Analysis

Case Studies

Abstract

This Dividers & Connectors Analysis (DCA) aims to develop understanding of the context in which partner organizations operate, as well as the environment where the project is implemented. Moreover, it highlights the potential points and factors that might disrupt the success of the project (Dividers) and/or serve as opportunities (Connectors) for successfully implementing the project objectives. Additionally, the DCA suggests ideas to overcome and address those Dividers identified in the analysis and the ways to capitalize on Connectors.

The Dividers & Connectors Analysis (DCA) was developed by consultant Christina Bache, Ph.D., with support from the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) under the WE-Champs: Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem by Networking Regional Women’s Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations project, funded by the U.S. Department of State Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI). While the DCA mostly serves as an internal document guiding implementation, this Executive Summary highlights some of the main findings and recommendations that would be useful for other, similar projects targeting a variety of women’s economic empowerment organizations from different regions around the world.
