The stakeholders of the Sahel Economic Coalition Initiative met in Nouakchott, Mauritania between September 13 to 16, 2021 to analyze the effects of the pandemic on the private sector, as well as the response plans of each G5 Sahel country. This event was a part of a process of constructive participation in the development of the region with the aim of positioning the proposals of the private sector for post-COVID economic recovery. The outcomes and recommendations of the event are outlined in this report (published in French only).
This event is part of an ongoing project to promote public-private dialogue in the G5 Sahel funded by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in support of the Sahel Economic Coalition Initiative.

Les parties prenantes de l’initiative de la Coalition Économique du Sahel se sont retrouvées du 13 au 16 septembre 2021 à Nouakchott pour analyser les effets de la pandémie sur le secteur privé ainsi que les plans de riposte des cinq pays ; les échanges s’inscrivent dans une démarche de participation constructive au développement de la région avec pour finalité un positionnement des propositions du secteur privé pour la relance économique post-COVID.
Cette activité fait partie du plan de travail du projet de promotion du dialogue public-privé au G5 Sahel financé par le Centre International pour l’Entreprise Privée (CIPE) en soutien à l’Initiative de la Coalition Économique du Sahel.
