In eastern Slovakia, 82 percent of women in a digital-skills survey reported barriers to accessing new digital skills, according to fresh survey data published by CIPE partner IT Valley Kosice. The survey posed questions to identify what motivates women to join the information technology sector, what barriers they face, how they learn digital skills, and what solutions they propose to increase and improve this process. The data presented here help fill a critical data gap in understanding entry barriers for women in the IT sector and also provide solutions that companies can use to encourage greater participation in the future.
