Women’s Labor Rights: An Employer’s Guide

Guides & Tools

CIPE partners in Georgia have developed a guide to help businesses understand and comply with current regulations on gender equality in the workplace.

The publication highlights key protections for women introduced in 2020 Georgian Labor Code updates, which align the country more closely with European Union and International Labor Organization (ILO) standards.

This guide serves as a tool to help employers gain full awareness of their legal obligations and responsibilities, while also supporting the ability of women to participate more fully in the economy.

Topics and compliance matters covered include:

  1. Equal Pay for Equal Work
  2. Health and Safety
  3. Work-Life Balance
  4. Family and Maternity Protections
  5. Termination of Labor Relations
  6. Promotion of Professional Development
  7. Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment
  8. Employer Responsibility

The guide presented here in Georgian, was authored by noted labor law expert and scholar Dr. Ekaterine Kardava, who also leads the Association “European Time.” Funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Labor.
