Gedamu Dimtsu is a Senior Finance Officer at the Center for International Private Enterprise East Africa Regional Office in Ethiopia.
Gedamu has been working on the financial management and handling of administration issues of the Regional Office for about three years. Prior to his work at CIPE, Gedamu worked as a Senior Auditor in a renown private audit firm and subsequently worked in certain local and regional non-governmental organizations as head for finance and administrative departments. He worked on Sida and other projects.
Gedamu received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Addis Ababa University, faculty of Business and Economics. Additionally, Gedamu studied law and holds an LLB (Law Degree) from Saint Mary’s University Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He also attended the Accountant, Chartered Certified Auditor (ACCA) courses offered by a London based firm and attained level 5 to enhance his professional competency. He has ample work experience in accounting and is well acquainted with the entire finance, system and practice of the private sector, government, and non-governmental organizations. He is also highly knowledgeable on tax law in theory and practice.
Gedamu speaks Tigrigna, Amharic and English.
