Getachew Sileshi is a Program Manager at the Center for International Private Enterprise East Africa Regional Office in Ethiopia. He has been working on issues of empowering marginal economic actors, business for peace, and private sector policy reforms for about two years.
Prior to his work at CIPE, Getachew worked as Innovative Grant Fund Specialist at Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (ECCSA) and as Sustainability Advisor for Amhara Women Entrepreneurs Association (AWEA).
Getachew received his Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Alemaya University, and Master of Science in Population Studies from Bahir Dar University.
Additionally, Getachew holds Strengthening Business Associations, Association Communications and Public Relations, Financial Management, and Advocacy Certificate from CIPE, Anti-Corruption Compliance for Enterprises from CIPE and COMESA Business Council (CBC), Leadership, Governance, and Strategic Planning Certificate from ECCSA, and Training of Trainers on Entrepreneurship Certificate from Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC). Getachew speaks Amharic and English.
