John Kay is the Program Director for Eastern Europe at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a non-profit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). He leads CIPE’s Eastern Europe portfolio, focusing on inclusive public-private dialogue, combating corruption, financing media freedom, and enhancing economic security. John also co-leads CIPE’s Transatlantic Market and Democracy Initiative (TMDI), fostering dialogue and strategic engagement with EU institutions for CIPE partners. Before joining CIPE, he worked on a variety of USAID and State Department programs in Eastern Europe, most recently with USAID OTI.
