Tomás Mandl is a Senior Program Manager for Latin America & the Caribbean at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). Mandl manages programs about democratic governance in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. He also manages the Future of Work initiative, and he works with CIPE’s anti-corruption, digital economy, and women’s economic empowerment initiatives across Latin America.
Prior to joining CIPE, Mandl worked as a Political Specialist for the U.S. Department of State in Ecuador, Vietnam, and Paraguay. Mandl holds an MA in International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, a Political Philosophy Diploma from the Centro Latinoamericano de Economía Humana, and a BA in International Studies from Universidad ORT. He is the author of Modern Paraguay: Uncovering South America’s Best Kept Secret.
